Week 2
What is the form used for your independent reading book? Does it use poetry, dramatic structure, short stories in order to sent its message? Decide what form is used and discuss why it is the best choice. Explain how it's form is working. For example, if it is the dramatic structure- what is the exposition? rising action?

They use poetry. I think they used this to show how she felt and poems are a easiest way to get your point across. They showed a diffrent poen on each page and they all fit together, to make one book. Every poem showed something diffrtent, little parts to a biger picture.

ReplyDeleteIn the Novel Dear Zoe, they ys dramtic structure/ short stories. These two are good forms for this novel because the chapters are really short but they contain a lot of drama. Every part of the book is filled with drama and the structures help pull you in.
ReplyDeleteMy book of 'Go Ask Alice' is dramatic structure. It fits in because theirs drama everywhere , when something little hapens comes out bad and when something good hapens it will come bad as well.
ReplyDeleteThe form that is used in 'Paper Towns' by John Green is a dramatic structure. But the structure is more suspenseful than dramatic because since it's a mystery book, I believe there should be a great amount of rising action before the mystery is solved. The book's structure was so, that I was really into it. I would always imagine what future events or situations would happen in the book.
ReplyDeletemy book that im reading called "the boy who came from heaven" uses a 'true story structure' i guess because its a true story and each chapter continues to tell what happened.
ReplyDeleteThe book i'm reading is Tupac Shakur. It has a dramatic structure to it. The reason I think it's dramatic structure is because it talks about a ruff life in dangerous cities. He has been arrested multiple times because of some bad choices and sometimes getting violent with the east-coast rapper Biggie Smalls. Then after 2pac's death people where saying rumors and then 11 months later Biggie dies. So i'm think this book is dramatic.
ReplyDeleteMy book "Matched" will be best fit in a chronological structure. I think it is in a chronological structure because it says things in order. For example, they first were being matched and then they spent time with the one that they were being matched to.
ReplyDeleteMy book "Wicked Lovely" will best fit the form dramatic structure. I chose this form because of the dramatic scenes that all of the charater goes through, Aislinn going through the most.
ReplyDeleteThe form of my book is a short story because it tells about the events when he hears them and when he writes in his journal.This form is working through how he tells about the events as he sees them instead of a narrator or another character. For example, when he goes into the house to search for weapons, he describes the stress he went through
ReplyDeleteMy book "Zombies VS. Unicorns" would best fit the form of short stories to send a message. This is because the chracters in my book are reading short stories to each other to prove that either zombies or unicrons are better.
ReplyDeleteI believe my book "Boot Camp" best fits the category of dramatic structure. My opinion is based on the fact that the book tells an intense story that makes you want to keep reading. The rising action is Garett trying to convince the camp leaders that he is truly sorry for his mistakes.
ReplyDeleteThe book "Uglies" would best fit the form of dramatic structure. I think this because of all the drama happening in the book. For example, Tally is about to become pretty when they tell her she can't. Now she has to go out and find her missing friend or she will never become pretty.
ReplyDeleteThe book "touching spirit bear" would best fit the dramatic structure category. the reason is because Cole is on an island alone and in order for the story to be entertaining, the author must include dramatic scenes, like Cole confronting the spirit bear or being attacked by other animals in the book.
ReplyDeleteThe book "Sold" is a true story structure. I think this because its talking about how this family who lives in the country of Nepal about how they have to live. Also what they have to do everyday and how they live and how there parents proved the, food and shelter.
ReplyDeleteThe book Shiver is a dramatic structure. I believe it's in this structure cause of all the drama and things going on. For example, Sam is suppose to turn into a werewolve at anytime but Grace isn't letting him.
ReplyDeleteMy book "the Hunger games" uses short story in the beginning saying or giving you a picture in what the Hunger games in general means and once it does they start referring back to the hunger games and how people get scared when they start choosing the the tributes for the hunger games you wouldn't know what they are talking about if the little story was not in it.

ReplyDeleteMy book "Sharp shot" has a dramatic structure. It is filled with action packed events and that is why it is a Action dramatic genre. This is the best choice because every scene always has a heart pumping rising action that builds up into a fight scene or a getaway scene. Right now the main characters are at a amusement trying to hide from the government.
ReplyDeletei believe 'story of a girl" is a fiction? because it talks about all the things happening to her and how she entre high school and how people treat her but sometimes it could be a drama going on which then it creats into a conflict.
ReplyDeleteim sure that "looking for alaska"has a dramatic structure. It is filled with teenagers problems lessons and mistakes. It talks about what there highschool is like, what groups of people are like, and what they do such as smoke drink and party even though it not allowed on campus. This book is filled with heart filled lessons that these teenagers learn and hearts felt stories they learn about eachother

It talks how a wrong decision of a normal high school teen girl could get her in situations she could have never imagined.At some points of the book it gets so exiting you just wanna keep on reading to figure out what is going to happen next.Because the decisions that many teens in these book take whether its drinking,smoking,and getting involved in a gang or simply becoming a teen mom. And due to their decisions people can learn from it in real life.
ReplyDeleteI think that my book Stolen has a dramatic structure because in the book she had looked into his eyes and started to talk to the Guy that was a stranger, she told to much information about her to him too, he bought her coffee and that's when he kidnapped her and know shes not with her family.
ReplyDeleteMy book "Halo Evolutions" use short stories to tell many different stories. It is good to use this form because most of the stories are 10-30 pages long unlike the normal books in the series that are 350-450 pages.
ReplyDeleteparanoid park is all about dramatic structure/action because on every single page it talks about how people get into fights and argue for the most simplest stuff. and for action the main character talks about policeman chasing him but not being able to get him. but he has obstacles that he has to go trough
ReplyDeleteMy book "Son of the Mob" can sometimes tell little bit of shorts stories now and then to prove points and this happens because the author whats to show how he is getting through his teeenage years and how it effects his and his fathers "disposal" buisness.
ReplyDeletei think that the book "touching spirit bear" fits under the category dramatic structure because many crazy scenes happen like his dad is telling lies during the circle of justice than Cole stops and tries to tell the truth also there's alot of drama between Cole and the spirit bear. First they fight then later on the bear is more relaxed...its just complicated in Cole's life.
ReplyDeletei think my book Saving max fits under the category dramatic but at the same time a little suspense because in this book theirs many types of crimes that happen for an example in the book a autistic kid named Jonas has died and they all blame it on the kid named max that wanted him dead the book has alot of drama when it comes for them to be in court.
